Work Package 5 - Scientific coordination, integration and concept model.
Objectives
WP5 will treat the scientific coordination and the integration of the results generated in WP1-4 in order to fulfil the objectives of PROMICROBE. It will moreover involve a plan for a further use and implementation of results to support microbial management and a dissemination plan of the results.
The specific objectives are to:
- coordinate the scientific work described in WP 1 to 4;
- integrate, in the cause of the project, results from WP 1-4 into the concept model and see to that the work will contribute to answer the main objectives of the project;
- prepare at the end a revised scientific synthesis with directions for future research on fish/microbe interactions with focus on positive effects of microbes;
- prepare a report for the aquaculture industry with state of the art, a conceptual work model on microbial management and research needs;
- arrange a workshop/session associated with an international meeting presenting results from the project;
- undertake other actions to disseminate results, including the organisation of a PhD course.
Deliverables
- Kick-off meeting conducted and internal website established.
- Public website established and project folder ready.
- Meeting and report of the SSC. On month 18 and 30 external experts will be invited.
- Project progress reports.
- Annual project reports. Update of the conceptual model.
- International workshop presenting results from the project for scientific community and industry.
- Report year 4 and final project report.
- Scientific synthesis with directions for future research on fish/microbe interactions with focus on positive effects of microbes.
- Report on microbial management strategies for the aquaculture industry. Input to EATP working group.
- Course at the PhD level on microbial management in aquatic production.
